ENERGY HEALING

Energy healing is a relaxing, gentle way to promote a peaceful state of being.

I have found energy healing sessions to be a nurturing support for specific intentions, and also for routine maintenance. Much like it is positive self-care to eat well and exercise regularly, receiving energy healing is profound holistic preventative care. It helps us keep in tune with our joyful spirit and encourages our highest self to come forth.

Holistic healing includes opening to the energetic system, beyond the physical body and even beyond thought. Energy healing goes beyond our established beliefs, and deep to the unconscious patterns that influence us. When the tension from those patterns is released, space is created for harmony to exist. In turn, this has a balancing impact on the physical, mental, emotional levels.

What I Do
Through my study and experience in energy work, I have come to resonate with what I see as a universal thread that runs through most effective healing modalities. Technique is only part of the effectiveness. The other part is the intention and consciousness of the practitioner. My intention is to hold the space for your innate wisdom to take over and heal itself. I do this by entering a meditative state of awareness while I touch your hands, feet, head and/or spine. In yoga, we call the state ‘shuniya’ and other traditions may call this ‘no-mind,’ ‘gnosis state,’ etc. Within that space I work intuitively, so where on your body calls for attention is unique to that day.

At this time my energy healing work is beyond adhering to one particular modality, due to the aforementioned universal thread I see in most effective modalities. The more time passes, the more "simple" my technique becomes. I do give grateful acknowledgment to the work of Harmonyum Healing (Gurunam) and Metamorphosis (Robert St. John), which has influenced my understanding of the healing process and the potency of energy work.

What You Do
When you receive energy healing, you simply relax on a massage table fully clothed. Many people enter a profound state of relaxation similar to sleep, others may drift in and out of consciousness. Emotions, thoughts and sensations may come and go. Treatments take a few weeks to unfold, so after a treatment rest well, drink plenty of water and notice any changes that occur.
